When booking a holiday with Virgin, what class of fare do they usually give you. The reason I ask is because I have just introduced my friend and his wife who have booked to fly to Orlando in June from Gatwick and I was wondering if I would qualify for the introduction miles.

Also on this subject, I have another couple of friends who I have also introduced but they have already flown, back in October I think, again this was the same flights as above, they intend to use my recommendation which I sent them (friends Virgin ecard) to register as I think I’m correct in saying that they will be able to have theses miles backdated. If this were correct, would I also qualify for the introduction miles. Of course it all depends on what class of fare they were given by Virgin Holiday when they booked.....Oh well, if ya don't ask ya don't get!

Cheers

Trevor

I booked a holiday last Nov and was taking my mum and Dad with me, I made them an internet account ( they have no pc bless em ) and sent an invitation and replied to it myself to join them up, when we got back it took about two weeks for my 7500 points to appear.

You need to ring VH and enquire what booking class they have used
and then refer to the conditions on the VA website to see if that class is included.

7500 for PE and 15K for UCS not a bad deal really.

Took your advice as suggested and contacted Virgin Holidays, the woman on the end of the phone just giggled, never had a clue what I was talking about.

I'll try the FFC, perhaps they will be able to tell me.

We have always had the miles when we have booked with VH, so there is no reason why they shouldn't.

You might find the Fare guide useful, as it lists the types of fare buckets for VH bookings ;)

Briefly:

UC = Z (MMF Qualifies)
PE = H (MMF Qualifies)
EC = V (MMF does NOT qualify, as it's not in Y/B/L/M)
