Hi Guys,

Anyone know the fare buckets that determine the 25-50 TP's. I'm FC AU (prob only for 1 more month as it's just become not worth it sadly tbh) and also have no idea whether I should be booking Classic or Delight as I don't want to pay for benefits that i'm likely to get anyway. It's all a bit vague.

Thanks in advance.

Hi S!

Going through the same debate myself right now as they've stripped the previously clear answer in the table from the website and Expedia don't publish Light, Classic or Delight - just the fare class. The next bit may not answer your question, but I thought it worth sharing that I called VA FC and as I have Gold status, their first response was that I would get 50 points for any Economy fare class booking as I would be getting the benefits through Gold anyway. Anyway, I said I needed more reassurance as this wasn't mentioned anywhere on the website so the rep at VA FC is double-checking and will confirm back the rules by e-mail to me. I'll let you know if I get a response.

Jim.

Have had an update from VA FC:
- Light booked under Q, X, N and O gets you 25 tier points
- Classic booked as E, Q, X, N and O gets you 25 tier points BUT booked as V, B, R, L, U & M gets you 50 tier points
- Delight booked in any fare class gets you 50 tier points

Thanks Jim, That info helps a lot. In the end I just booked Delight. I'm having a real dilemma. Trying to earn 500 TP's in a month is gonna be tough. I just cant bring myself to pay £4/5k for a J this week to Dubai when I know I can get it much cheaper normally. So AG it looks like it is for me. 6 years of AU finally ending. 50TP's for an economy fare would have been handy a year ago. Ah well.
