SFO to LHR in November

Hi All,

Just beginning to check out fares for the annual trip back home (I'm an Ex-pat Brit living in SF). I was looking into November flights since a friend is getting married and I'd like to combine the trips

Inoticed that BA is a about $100 less than VS!!! ($498 RT inc taxes on BA and $608 RT inc taxes on VS)

Any thoughts on when/if VS will come down?

No idea,for the last year or so BA has been offering some very good price's.I checked out a PE aginst WT+ price today for a friend,VS was $1200 more !

Geez - do people really plan their trips so far ahead! I'm shocked...

Some time's i plan them a year in advance.

I try to only go 11 months ahead at a time,otherwise it just take to long for the travel to come around.

I can often manage 11 days ahead

There has been a sale offered around November of the last several years, if I recall correctly. That said, you may wish to watch the fare situation after the summer travel season ends.

I wish I could be more care-free but between work schedules and having a 2-yr old things need more planning than they used to!

I will keep an eye on the fares after the Summer rush and see where everything is at.

A 2 year old will do that to you! However mine has me, which is just about the same. When it comes down to longhaul travel I'm, well, a little anal about it, and like to have the i's dotted and the t's crossed well in advance. That way, when things go astray, I can claim no responibility.

Yes at least when it come's to flight's and hotel stay's everything is checked and double checked and then I call while on the way.

The longer you are on here the more you will scratch your head at some of my posting,sometimes becuase they make no sense but mostly becuase after living in the US for 16 years I slip between British English and US english..even funnier is watching me try to speak french,I slip between Spanish and French..drive the Paris cab drivers nuts [y][^]

No the painful part is getting the CC bill's after the trip..ever known a shoe store to send a limo to pick up your wife..has to rank high on the scare the wallet rating.

Usually important to book as far ahead as possible if you are hoping to use limited reward inventory, especially on the popular routes [i]
