In flight dressing gown

I am flying back to London tonight and it always seems a shame to get dressed for the quick stroll to revivals.

Any votes for VS dressing gowns for the trip from the aicraft to the shower?

Why not just stay in your Sleepsuit?

Sure you may get a few looks from some of the other UC pax, but the lovely Ninja suit is almost passable as leisure wear!

That is of course an option, I never feel really dressed in just the sleep suit.

One of out female members left the club house, and went outside, wearing just a dressing gown and a san trope tan. With this in mind, I am sure the sleep suit would be just fine.

As I mentioned on these forums before, I always keep mine on when I get off the plane, and on my last trip me and Mrs B had H & H ninja suits on at immigration!

Amazing how one's mind works - I now have a mental image of a troop of ninja warriors emptying out of UC after the NRT-LHR flight; customs officers turn out to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and then Bruce Lee and Uma Thurman burst in. There's a movie in there somewhere, possibly Monty Python...

I prefer to think of all the UC travellers filing off the plane in dressing gowns and cravats, rather like Noel Coward, with a cigarette holder in one hand and a G & T in the other.

Regularly see UC passengers leave the plane still wearing sleepsuit. To be fair given what some people wear for travelling, the black sleepsuit looks quite fine!

Agreed! Like some people who turn up whilst on the way out to a company jolly in shorts and trainers maybe?

Hey!, Not quite on a company outing, but that is exactly how i turned up to my flight home from MCO recently. That is one of the reasons I fly VS, as I feel comfortable strolling into UC wearing this type of garb unlike on BA where I almost feel I need a suit to enter NCW.

My response was a jibe at LRoM Paul, but agreed on your point with VA and BA. I am very lucky to be young and able to fly in Premium Classes, and never once have the crew on VS made me feel that i shouldnt be there ... I cant say the same for BA, who have given me the 'hmm .. must be an op-up' look

Personally, i have no problem with what people wear on board. I always dress smartly anyway so do the same when travelling, but would have no qualms about exiting customs in my ninja suit, as has almost been the case before due to sleeping too well in the suites.

just like a normal weekend at home really;)

Part of me almost wishes that we were flying NCW to Sydney. Just so I could walk on in my army combats, t-shirt with my red mohawk. I'm sure the suits would be most put out.

Actually reading this has got me thinking, on our SYD flight which leaves three weeks today when we have our mini-stop at HKG where we get to dash to the CH should I change out of ninja suit? Just seems a bit pointless, to put clothes on, then change again a few hours later when we get back on the plane.

Ahem young lady! Nothing like travelling comfortably, especially when that was the day I spent 8 hours in the LHR CH, my colleagues travelling with me was also suitably attired. And it wasn't a jolly, there is nothing jolly about a conference in MSY, hated the place. Did go back the following year though for the same conference though [:I]
