I read on here she has had a faulty GPU for sometime. Maybe it’s getting fixed properly?
Looking at G-INFO online for VNYC, it does look like she's going abroad & changing owners as you can see the following entry in the registered owner details section:
C of A = Certificate of Airworthiness
Nothing showing so far for VGBR yet which is the other A333 also rumoured to be going to Thai Airways.
Application type: Export C of A
Received date: 18-Jul-2024
Expected date of processing: 19-Aug-2024

Quite sad to see VNYC go, mainly because I can still remember when it was delivered! It "effectively" replaced G-VSHY in the fleet which was withdrawn a few days before VNYC got delivered. 12 years later and history seems to have repeated itself as G-VRIF was delivered today.
Are we certain that it's currently at STS in Birmingham for end of lease maintenance? Also, do they have repainting facilities there to repaint the aircraft in either all white or in Thai Airways colours?

G-VNYC is currently on final approach to LHR as VIR846P.
Fly's a little too much.
G-VNYC made her final flight for Virgin this morning, flying from Heathrow to Châteauroux in France as VS834P.
G-VXLG
It’s now back at Heathrow via a stop in Newquay in full Thai Airways colours.
