There are several trip reports on the Barbados route if you use the search function at the top of the page which will give you some idea of what to expect. However the one that gives the greater detail on food is nearly a year old and the menu has changed since then. ISTBC but I rather think the UC menu is due to change soon as I understand that it does so every three months in UC. Perhaps VS staff can clarify that

With regard to the Hilton I stayed there last summer prior to my trip to MCO and it was fine. It is attached to the terminal by a short walkway and we were at check-in less than five minutes after leaving the hotel. If you are travelling in UC I wouldn't bother with breakfast in the Hilton and make straight for the Clubhouse to get breakfast there. It really is good and some V-Flyers have been known to have more than one breakfast prior to departure [:w] [:w]

As far as the rooms go at the hilton if you're in the new executive rooms they're really nice. The older ones from trip advisor and speaking to other people are ok. If you're not definite on the hilton and willing to stay off airport then I can suggest somewhere else which will probably be a lot cheaper as well and is to the same standard and i believe much better.

i have booked a family room and to be honest its so handy for the next morning - just drag ourselves out of bed and walk over to the UC check in.
thanks keith

Here's a photo of the breakfast in the LGW Clubhouse. In addition smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a bagel is their signature dish [y]

Always found the food in the LGW CH to be spot on. The food on board in UC is the same as any other route.Hilton is expensive but convenient,if you can get into the exec lounge there the booze is free from 6pm-7.30pm[:p][y]:D

Hi There,

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton in Dec 05 witrh our baby and little boy.We had booked a family room and was sooo amazed at the size of the room.

Also if you are a HHonnours member head straight to the far end of the reception desk (right hand side) were you can express check in instead of waiting in the long Q`s to check in.
