I booked our next holiday through the Airmiles Travel Company and received their confirmation this morning.

It turns out they only accept a credit card to pay balances and do not accept cheques or solo cards.

I had booked as a surprise the upgrades on the flight and wanted to pay this off before they debit the "real" balance from my husband`s credit card.

They are saying it isnt their policy to tell customers they do not accept these types of payments and if i wish to cancel i would lose our deposit.

Any ideas?[:#]

Arh, toughy. I think the only thing you can do is talk to them and see if they can split the payment - part by you on your credit card, part from hubbies.

On the plus side, if hubby is anything like all the other men I know (me included) he won't notice a little extra charge on his statement!

Hi motherger

How long have you got before they deduct the balance
from your hubby's credit card ?

I'm assuming you share a credit card a/c here

therefore have you time to get yourself a Flying club credit card and get down to some miles earning ?[}:)]
