Looks like he took off successfully, although the Birds nearby gave him a bit of a scare.! Due to Land in Kent on Saturday, if all goes well!

It's over - record broken (26389.3 miles) and a complete success, despite a hiccup at the end [:0]

Another big hearty congratulations to Steve & the crew, tremendous achievement [y][y] (Pete, a message from V-F perhaps? :))

Cheers

Well done! I want a GlobalFlyer; but a type rating would be needed (due to the weight). Sorta cool to be able to go non-stop anywhere in the world.

Going to the bathroom would be a bit awkward though. And there's limited IFE. I think I'll stick to a 777-200LR.

Wow - significantly lower key than his last record attempt... [:?]. Shame, really...

(Had I known it was landing at BOH, I would have popped across in the car...! [:p][:0])

Maybe been mentioned before - however, given Virgin's involvent - surely "one man, one plane, one world" wasnt the best caption from an advertising point of view given VSs relationships with some star-alliance airlines & its competition with oneworld airlines..[:#]

Fantastic achievement though - conrats on another record.[^][^][^]
