I must appologise if this has been posted before!

I'm watching more4 and just saw a new VS UC advert - basically it's a Wright Brother's plane with a guy pitching UC to the Brothers - ending in your gunna need bigger plane and then shots of UC!

Yes, I saw it last night on Sky One. Must have paid $$$ to get it aired during the 24 show.

Very in your face, picture of the flat bed and bar. Still haven't decided if I like it or not. If anything, I'd say it was different. :-)

I must say that I thought that this new advert was much better than the previous one. It seemed to give a much more clear selling point for VS, although it was a bit deceptive in its depiction of the suites.;)

I've only seen the ad once, a few more viewing may be needed. Took a while to get into it. Anyone found a link to the video on the web?

Odd, I'd have thought the Mods would have jumped on this thread as it's already being discussed here!

But in any case, the new advert gives me the shivers, I can't wait!!!

You are correct it was shown during one of the breaks in the Bahrain GP, first time I'd seen it, great ad! [y]

I saw it during the Kenneth Williams tribute. I thought it was a great advert that people will not get at first (until they see the ending) and therefore will intrigue.

Actually, I have just realised that I did in fact see it during the Grand Prix.[:I]

I normally watch E4 (Friends and the OC;)[:o)]) so that's why I was confused.

Once again...[:I]

Caught in on E4 last night (during ER) - I didn't know it was a VS ad, even though I'd read this thread - but I twigged within a nanosecond or two - it has Virgin written all over it!

Oops, dropped me toast and marmalade [:#]

It is avaialable to view on http://www.davidreviews.com but unfortunately they now charge a subscription fee for new adverts. Always used to be able to watch adverts on their for free.

You need to view or hear a commercial more than 3 times before you get the message

Is it a subliminal message that only kicks in on the 3rd attempt?;)

Some people, maybe. I got it before the ending, it has Virgin stamped all over it.

Funny :D

It's called "Opportunites To Hear", and the marketing people say that you need to hear any commercial at least 3 times before you'll act on it :D

My experience tells me that this is a very cleaver commercial by a very cleaver Advertising Agency. I wouldn't mine betting that someone at the agency has floated the idea of "pioneering" past Virgin Atlantic :D

As commercials go it's good as it holds people's attention to the very end before revealing the product

I'd also hate to see the bill for the creative, and the airtime.

The phrase millions spring to mind :D

Is this 'oportunities to hear' concept behind the CILLIT BANG advert that keeps repeting CILLIT BANG until you are fed up with hearing CILLIT BANG, and go out to buy some CILLIT BANG to shut them up?
