Both mine, and a friend's haven't allowed us in since last night:

We're sorry your account is currently unavailable. Please try again later or contact your Flying Club helpline.

WOW - I think it's just gotten worse:

Due to technical difficulties http://www.virginatlantic.com is currently unavailable, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

This outage unfortunately also effects our call centres so please do not call for any of the following affected functions:

Book Flights (please check back later).
Online Check In (please check in at the airport).
Update Booking (seat & meal selection and adding frequent flyer details, please check back later).
Flying Club (please check back later).
Flight Status (please check with the local airport website).

The timeframe for the situation to be resolved has not currently been set. Please check back for updates.

For them to put this specific message up (rather than the normal "Ooops" one, things must be BAD... [:0]

Must be a major system failure, do they operate a Data Centre or are they reliant on a distributed system(s)?

I'm afraid it is quite serious but not sure how much detail to put up on here. At the moment I don't think there can be any timeframe put on a fix.

Things are slowly getting back to normal but there are still several applications unavailable that could still impact the operation tomorrow.

From a passenger perspective though things should be no different.

What happen to the gold line in the US? I cannot call. I want to upgrade to PE with cash. VS has no method to take my money. I am complaining to the BBB.
