After a long list of issues with a VS flight back from UVF I emailed customer care. They replied 21 days later with an offer of some miles for my husband and I but only credited my account - not his.

Now I get no response to my emails chasing the missing miles and the FC call centre say they will sort it out - but never do.

I have now written to SRB himself. Hopefully this simple issue will be resolved iminently!

Rant over - I now feel much calmer!

Out of interest, where did you stay in St Lucia?

Almost the best reply, ever!

Would be interesting to know if SRB or any of the other VA senior team read the underlying issues brought up on this site.
i.e.
1st hand experiences of customer service
seats for mates/off duty crew
the food & champers issues

Has this ever been acknowledged from VA?

Does VS still do customer service? I thought they'd been phasing it out for several years now.

I assume it's a joke, otherwise it's a bit harsh no? I think that VS has made major steps and spent a lot of money in recent years on refocusing staff on the importance of excellent customer service and I think that an overwhelming majority of staff at VS enjoy coming to work and giving their customers and positive experience. It is a shame if you have had a negative one, but I for one love my job and am proud of the hard work that I put in on my flights, I know that I am far from being alone.

I think that's well said starguy - people like you are what make people like me prefer to fly VS. Unfortunately however, the noise about poor service across the board seems to be getting louder at the moment.

Yes, also agree, this is why we're on this forum - we like the VS product, & the overall experience inclusive generally of the superb crew. Given this, more the reason comments back from its 'loyal' fan base should be flagged up, as we're the ones commenting- better to know any shortcomings, as imagine the ones who walk away quietly and fly under another banner.

Sorry didnt mean to offend. Having flown VS exclusively for the last 16 years or so (at least once, sometime twice a year) I do feel my comment was justified based on my personal experiences in the last 3-4 years or so.

Dont get me wrong, the first 10 years of flying VS was excellent. They obviously set the bar to high in the early years. We also used to recommend to all friends and family. (Would have loved the commission)

For the first time we are actually flying another carrier this christmas to Miami.

It's ok, I understood where you are coming from, this is a problem that has been noted a number of times on the board, a sad trend that seems to be tailing off, but is still there.

From personal experience, I have had no issues with staff, it's the product itself that is getting stale, but right now VS seem to be more interested in cutting costs than opening their eyes and realizing that other airlines have pulled ahead on the hard products in all cabins on all their routes.

I stayed at the Body Holiday at Le Sport - and am planning to go back, so I guess that means I liked it!!!
