Am putting a brave face on everything at the moment.

Forget Man United missing Ronaldo, Liverpool are missing Alonso hugely. Sell Lucas, Babel and Voronin for sure.

Still I have faith, United didn't have the best start last year and still came good in the end. A long way to go.

Shaky starts are OK for teams/squads with recent experience of winning titles, I'm not so sure it's a good thing for teams that don't have recent experience of winning the title though.

I don't agree with you. Besides the Liverpool team are pretty good at turning things around when they are up against it.

I'm not baiting you wild, I'm just asking you to back up your claim of 'the Liverpool team are pretty good at turning things around when they are up against it' as I can't see the evidence of it from this current squad myself. Three years without a trophy is pretty good evidence of your claim being a false one [;)]

I know your not [:D]. My comment was regarding games in which Liverpool go behind and come back, rather than in the league. At Liverpool we like to do things the hard way, let a team score a couple of scrappy goals and then have an uphill battle to get the win. Istanbul in 2005, Portsmouth, Fulham, Man City all last year and Bolton over the weekend. It is much more exciting than a boring 1-0 win trust me!

Just out of interest when was the last penalty awarded at OT to the visiting team?

Not many penalties get awarded to the opposition at OT because at home the Red Devils are a controlled and efficient side. Sometimes, out of their home environment, they get shaky and do silly things that bring on penalties.

[:D] No complaints here, Fletcher fouled him alright, thankfully the ref was like Wenger and Fergie at times, he didn't see it [:)] Having said that they scored from that incident so no real damage done, that doesn't excuse them not getting the pen of course, you know what I mean.

Recent penalties against Man Utd at OT:
Last season:-
Hull City Nov 08 (league)
Derby County Jan 09 (carling cup)
Liverpool Mar 09 (league)

Although I'm sure you knew of the last one, I bet you're surprised to see another two given against us at OT last season.

I back up GJ's observations on the penalties at OT though [y][:D]

We were crap again but got the points, can't complain but I can't stand to see us play like that, doesn't bode well for the season.
