Probly get shot down in flames, but I don't approve of it really, if I go upper I look forwards to the quiet classy time in the lounge.
Goin PE next time and paying for an ordinary lounge as a bolthole from the crowds downstairs, I wouldn't take my kids in to a VA clubhouse if I had any unless they had a UC seat.
Its nice to have a place where kids can have fun and be offered facilities, but its just as nice for adults to have their own space as well even if they pay top dollar for it.
I can understand that - its a debate that has been had on here a few times. I am very much in two minds about it, and for complete selfish reasons.
I love the exclusivity of the CH for UC and Au pax, but for times like above when I would love nothing more then to pay for my parents to fly UC (even if i was down the back in Y) but can't this opportunity is a real bonus. Also the numbers will be very limited that VH allow into the CH.
Also £60 per head, you aren't really going to get that many families with kids running around screaming - which i guess is part of the reason big price when they can book another lounge for £15 a head.
And of course its great marketing for VS, if you are prepared to pay £60 to get into the CH you may well be a potential UC pax so this would be a great teaser, would be interesting to see what such a conversion rate is.
